The Classical Mandolin Society of America and this year's hosts:

THE SEATTLE MANDOLIN ORCHESTRA

will be holding the 24th Annual CMSA Convention at the Marriott Seattle Airport Hotel, Wednesday, October 13 through Sunday, October 17.

The 2010 convention will include the 7th Annual Mandolin Instructors Workshop (Tuesday evening, October 12 through Wednesday morning, October 13).

The Convention will include the usual attractions including workshops, great vendors, The 2010 En Masse Orchestra, two concerts, the Gala banquet, and the 9th Annual Norman Levine Memorial Playing Contest. (You can click HERE for the rules of the contest.)

In addition, we have a number of new features in the works - to be announced soon!

We have already started developing an outstanding list of guest performers! So far, performing at both the Friday and Saturday concerts and teaching workshops are:

  • Duo LaRe (Chris Acquavella & Nate Jarrell), www.chrisacquavella.com

    More guests will be announced soon!

    Chris Acquavella will also be leading the Mandolin Instructors Workshop.
    Jim Bates, conductor extraordinaire, will lead the En Masse Orchestra.
    John Goodin will be this year's Composer in Residence.
