The Victoria Mandolin Orchestra was founded in 1995 by the late Patrick Lawson, an accomplished musician, teacher and music arranger. The orchestra is currently under the leadership of Alex Olson, a professional jazz and classical bassist and graduate of the Manhattan School of Music. The orchestra's repertoire encompasses classical, ethnic and popular music as well as pieces from the Mandolin orchestra tradition. Soprano Sue Doman adds brilliance and excitement as she joins the orchestra for several numbers.
