The Silver Strings Mandolin Ensemble plays character pieces, Russian, Spanish and German marches, Sartori, Menichetti, Waldteufel, Kok, etc., plus local composers such as Cippola, and Tarzia.

We practice on Thursdays in the Tinibel's music room, a private residence, and usually give one concert a year, for the German Workmans Assoc. We all also play in several other groups.... Italian, Greek, Balkan, and the most active of all is the Aurora Mandolin Orchestra, in Redwood City, now conducted by Josefina Pelligrini.
