| Nashville Mandolin Ensemble |
| Nashville, TN |

America's only large, professional touring mandolin group, the Nashville Mandolin Ensemble reshapes the early twentieth century phenomenon of the mandolin orchestra. Featuring up to six mandolins, mandola, mando-cello, guitar, and upright bass, the Ensemble expresses the aural spectrum of the mandolin family of instruments.
The first Nashville Mandolin Ensemble recording, "Plectrasonics," has recently been completed with producer Richard Bennett, well known for his work with Emmylou Harris, Marty Stuart, and Neil Diamond. Musical scores and arrangements were provided by Berklee College of Music guitarist, John Carlini, a New York Drama Desk nominee for his orchestrations in the Off-Broadway hit musical "Song of Singapore." John conducts the Ensemble and performs on the project.
The Nashville Mandolin Ensemble has appeared on stage with the Nashville Symphony as part of their annual Holiday Pops concert. The group was recently featured on the TNN Country News and in the PBS production "Tennessee Crossroads." NME has played the nationally syndicated "Riders in the Sky Radio Theater" program in Cincinnati, Atlanta's "Taste of the South" and have appeared twice at Nashville's own Summer Lites music festival. They also have recorded with George Ducas on Liberty Records, and for Warner Bros. Television's "The Wild West" mini-series and soundtrack.
