Conducted by Sylvia Hlywka Brabson, the 30 member The Mandolin Orchestra of Niagara presents a wide range of music which includes international favourites, Celtic music, North American folk music, Broadway hits, "Pops", and light classics. From its beginnings, founded in the culture of Ukraine, this organization has evolved into a modern mandolin orchestra capable of providing programs to suit any mood or occasion: although the Ukrainian heritage of several of the Orchestra's members remains a focus for much of the group's activities.

The dominant sound is, of course, the mandolin and the mandolin family of instruments. These are artistically complemented by piano, bandura, stand-up bass, flutes, clarinet, guitars, percussion, and the voices of the 12-member choir. Conductor Hlywka Brabson arranges most of the eclectic repertoire.

Major concerts are performed bi-annually, with smaller concerts in a variety of venues, including music halls, service clubs, and schools for Community Concert Associations, as well as County Fairs and conventions.

The Mandolin Orchestra of Niagara (MOON) is available on CD. "Mandolin Mosaic" is their first endeavour and is available through the address listed below.
