Formed in 1996 by Alan Jacobson, E.C.M.Q. blends the musical concept of the traditional Violin family string quartet with the sounds of plucked string ensembles comprised mainly of the Mandolin, Balalaika and Domra instrument families.

NOTE: (Mid 2009) The Emerald City Mandolin Quartet has disbanded, but their website is still active.
